FEDERICO GARCÍA TRUJILLO

Federico García Trujillo proposes a holistic project around the contemporary possibilities of painting and drawing.
His work is situated between the construction of thought and the formal investigation of materials, exploring territories ranging from the history of painting itself, memory, documentary analysis or the synergies between art and music.
He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, as well as a PRODART Master’s Degree in Artistic Production and Research from the same university.
His solo exhibitions include: “The Morandi’s Atittude or Some Strategies to preserve the Enthusiasm” in the SAC room of the Government of the Canary Islands and Frames Rocio in La Capella in Barcelona within the framework of BCN Producció.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including: Crisis?, What Crisis? Chapter 2 (TEA Tenerife), Secuencia Editorial (La Panera, Lleida) or Aparteu les cadires (Can Felipa Arts Visuals, Barcelona). He was also selected to participate in the Biennial of Contemporary Art – Young European Creation, an exhibition that has toured several European countries.
His work is part of private collections and art centers in Spain such as: DKV Collection or Tea Tenerife.
He is currently working in his studio in S/C de Tenerife.
