Galería Artizar returns to Madrid to take part in one of the most important events on Spain’s contemporary art market calendar: the Estampa fair, held from October 9 to 12 at the IFEMA exhibition halls. True to its commitment to giving visibility to island-based creation in both national and international contexts, the gallery from La Laguna is presenting a stand that brings together the work of three artists born in Tenerife and currently living on the island, thus reinforcing a discourse that highlights the artistic production emerging from the Canary Archipelago.

The protagonists of this proposal are Idaira del Castillo (Tenerife, 1985), the artistic duo Martín y Sicilia (Tenerife, 1971 and 1974), and Federico García Trujillo (Tenerife, 1988)—three creators from different generations but united by a shared desire to explore, from a geographical periphery, the most pressing questions of contemporary life. Their presence at Estampa not only strengthens the gallery’s position within the national scene but also asserts Tenerife as a fertile space for artistic creation and critical thought.

With this selection, Galería Artizar reaffirms its guiding principle: to support artists from its own context and position them within the highest-profile circuits. Participation in Estampa 2025 represents not only an opportunity to showcase the vitality of the Canary Islands’ art scene, but also to forge closer ties with collectors, institutions, and art professionals who each year make Madrid an essential meeting point for contemporary art.
