Galeria Artizar will participate for the sixth consecutive year in the international contemporary art fair EXPO Chicago, to be held from April 9 to 12 at Chicago’s iconic Navy Pier. Considered one of the most relevant events on the artistic scene in the United States, the fair brings together a prominent selection of international galleries, collectors, curators, and institutions each year, consolidating itself as one of the main meeting points for the contemporary art market in the country.
With this new participation, Artizar continues to strengthen its presence on the international circuit and reinforce its relationship with the North American artistic context. Furthermore, as in the previous edition, the gallery will be the only Spanish gallery present at the fair, which underscores the unique nature of its participation within this international platform.
For this edition, Artizar Gallery will present a collective project that will bring together works by six artists represented by the gallery: Roberto Diago (Havana, 1971), Paula Valdeón (Badajoz, 1992), Julio Blancas (Gran Canaria, 1967), Pamen Pereira (Ferrol, 1963), Jesús Zurita (Ceuta, 1974), and Victoria Valiente (Gran Canaria, 2000).
The project proposes a joint presentation that reflects the generational diversity and languages present in the gallery’s program, offering a representative overview of some of the lines of work that Artizar is currently promoting.
Participation in EXPO Chicago represents a new opportunity to continue providing international visibility to the gallery’s artists and to strengthen the presence of Spanish contemporary art in one of the most active cultural and market contexts on the global stage.
